Let the Right One In (revisited briefly)

Although the San Francisco Film Critics Circle is hardly a name to conjure with, I was happy to see that they voted “Let the Right One In” the best foreign film of 2008. It means something that the film critics for most of the media in the Bay Area voted for this excellent little film. Apparently, Oskar and Eli come to DVD in March.

Yup, still the best thing I've seen this year. Saw Milk last night, a solid film with fine performances. Suffers a bit from the 'already know the story to some extent' syndrome. But worth seeing.

I'm reading "Blindness" right now. Is the movie worth seeing?
What about "Revolutionary Road" - book or movie - what is your take?

I apologize profusely to the Bureau Chief for not heeding his recommendations sooner. Mr. Fussy and I finally watched Let the Right One In last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. As a longtime fan of Scandinavian blood in the snow (be it literary or cinematic), I think this one rockets to the top of my list. The book is substantially gorier.
